What We Do

Dawn Meats was established in Co. Waterford, Ireland in 1980. As a family business that remains true to its farming heritage, and with a continuous focus on quality and customer service, it has grown to become the meat supplier of choice for customers of Irish and British meat.

With a product portfolio spanning from bone-in and boneless meat to frozen burger patties and ready to heat meal solutions, why not join our discerning retail and foodservice customers from over 40 countries worldwide and experience the best quality and service for you and your consumers.

Dawn Meats supplies a quality range of beef and lamb carcase and primal cuts throughout the Continent.  With sales and marketing offices positioned throughout Europe, we offer a close relationship with all of our retail, foodservice and manufacturing customers and we continually strive to serve their requirements as efficiently as possible.

Complete traceability along the chain from "Farm to Fork" is guaranteed, with production to the highest standards. We offer a wide portfolio of meat products from carcase and primal cuts to value-added raw and cooked.

The following are the key areas of our business:

  1. Agriculture Initiatives

With our roots and heritage in farming, we are very conscious of this vital first link in the supply chain. We have initiated industry-leading projects to improve and share best practice with our suppliers. Projects and scientific trials are on-going as we continue to support our farmer suppliers

  1. Animal Welfare

Animal welfare is a basic requirement in our industry. We co-operate with our farmers to ensure they comply with regulations and support the work of our Quality Assurance Schemes in association with Bord Bia in Ireland and Red Tractor in the UK. On each of our sites, we have fully-trained animal welfare officers to ensure animals are handled correctly.

  1. Environment

At Dawn Meats, we are committed to conducting our activities with due care and regard for the environment. Through continuous improvement in our process, we strive to achieve a high standard of environmental performance across all areas of our business. We have an obligation and a business interest to be proactive in reducing our emissions and minimising our carbon footprint. We believe firmly in leading the way in the red meat industry with first-to-market initiatives, ensuring we are the most energy efficient operation in the marketplace today.
