Group Learning and Development Manager (ROI and UK)

We are currently seeking to recruit a Group Learning and Development Manager to join our wider Human Resources team. 

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Group Learning & Development Manager is a new & exciting role which will oversee all Learning & Development activity for the group in Ireland & the UK. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR team to manage the Learning, Training & Development agenda while also managing the LMS system & external stakeholders. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, Design and Lead training programmes for entry level to middle management within the business from concept to execution while supporting team initiatives in the area of Learning & Development
  • Facilitate & deliver the on-going people development aspects of the business strategy.
  • Develop strategic programmes to build skills, enhance leadership capability and provide personal development opportunities.
  • Support robust Succession and Development Plans for critical business roles
  • Provide Senior Leaders with subject matter expertise in forecasting and planning their talent and development pipeline requirements in line with the Group Strategy.
  • Design and implementation of development programmes for the senior leadership team
  • Assist in the creation of policies and plans to meet the changing needs of the business and to create a high performing organisation.
  • Work with the HR team and the line managers within the group to implement and optimise learning and development process and practices.
  • Deliver & facilitate events- Management training to employees with line management responsibility.
  • Assist members of the HR team in the delivery of training and development initiatives to staff.
  • Promote and facilitate a culture of Learning and Development.
  • Partner with third party suppliers in the development of Development Centres, Selection Centres, 360’s, psychometric offering and executive coaching
  • Develop, monitor and act on metrics which assess the effectiveness and contribution of Learning and Development Programmes

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 years+ working in a busy Learning & Development role
  • Third level qualification/CIPD required in HRM or business-related discipline
  • Experience in delivering formal and informal training interventions to a multi-cultural workforce.
  • Passionate and interested in growing talented people at all levels
  • Structured approach to managing initiatives from inception through to execution, with a proven track record of delivering results in line with the business needs
  • Proven ability of managing & delivering cross-functional projects
  • Track record of working effectively in high-pressure environment with evolving priorities
  • Expertise in learning needs analysis and learning content creation and delivery
  • Knowledge of the development of psychometric, 360 tools and other talent management tools
  • Good knowledge of HR processes and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal, and management skills and high professional standards for work quality.
  • Experience in coaching and developing others to fulfil their potential.
  • Ability to work on own initiative on project-based tasks.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and proven problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Computer literacy – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HR IT Systems.
