Retail packing is concentrated in Dawn Meats, Cross Hands, Wales, our state of the art further processing site. The site features the latest technology available in traceability, robotics, packaging, labelling and slicing. This allows production to be carried out on a scale that encompasses efficiencies available through automation while being flexible enough to process all red meat species in a variety of packaging formats, some of which are aimed at maximising case fills, to suit the demanding needs of today's retail environment. 

Our fresh meat ranges of beef, lamb and pork are carefully prepared by our teams of butchers, cut and sliced into a range of portion sizes, then packed to ensure freshness for the final consumer.

Foodservice

Dawn Meats Food Service offers a full range of fresh, frozen & cooked meat to the Irish Catering sector. The division operates a nationwide, next day delivery service out of 3 strategically located hubs in Dublin, Waterford & Mayo. Our strategy is to deal directly with the end user and keep the supply chain as tight as possible therefore ensuring full traceability. In 2014, Dawn Meats acquired Hicks Foods. This acquisition not only completed our national distribution but also brought a wealth of Catering Butchery knowledge and experience into our business. We feel that this knowledge, coupled with our peerless access to top quality products, offers a unique national solution to the Food Service sector.

Our range includes beef, lamb, pork, bacon, poultry as well as specialist meat products. We also do a premium range of burgers, sous vide products and a range of IQF products. We source our products from our own factories as well as through a network of specialty meat suppliers we have developed partnerships with over the last 35 years.

Innovation is a very important part of what we do and we endeavour to lead the way with new product trends and ideas.

At Dawn Meats Cross Hands, Wales, we offer a unique mix of automated, cost efficient retail packing lines for raw meat products, alongside high speed production of premium burgers & other mince based products such as meatballs, koftas & grillsteaks.

Our foodservice division offers a range of portion controlled steaks for restaurant clients.

We also specialise in slow cooking across a wide range of meat based dishes for both retail & foodservice customers.
