Last week, the Dawn Meats Group hosted the 3rd annual Food Safety Week. This week is used to highlight the importance of Food Safety and how it requires all employees to work together to ensure high standards.
The 2019 Food Safety Week focused on 5 key topics;
- PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
- Labelling
- Chemical Hazards
- Equipment and FBs (Foreign Bodies)
- Cleaning
Throughout the week, staff took part in challenges quizzes and activities to raise awareness of the requirements of Food Safety. Over the week, roughly 494 messages were posted on Yammer (our internal social network) and the posts were liked more than 5,000 times. We are extremely pleased with the high level of engagement from the week and hope that this success and enthusiasm continues to grow in future.
