Dawn Meats and South Korean Customer Visit

13th Sep 2024

We were thrilled to reconnect in person with our South Korean customers last week as part of the Ministerial trade mission to China and South Korea led by Charlie McConalogue T.D., Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine; and Minister of State with responsibility for new market development, Martin Heydon T.D

The visit follows on from the official announcement made back in May of this year by Minister McConalogue that South Korea had agreed to open its market to Irish beef for the first time.

Dawn Meats have made significant efforts over the last 6 years to build relationships with potential South Korean customers and had already hosted a successful visit by South Korean representatives to Ireland in January 2024.

Minister Martin Heydon T.D met with several of Dawn Meats South Korean customers who were delighted to showcase product received.

Pat Ormond, the International Sales Manager, remarked, “We are delighted that Dawn Meats beef products have been available for Korean consumers to enjoy over the past two weeks. With the official launch of Irish beef, this presents a tremendous opportunity to strengthen the reputation of quality Irish beef in the region and marks a significant development in expanding new market opportunities for our products.”
