Dawn Meats, were proud to be one of the founding companies of the Open Doors Launch which brings together some of Ireland’s leading employers to promote greater inclusion and diversity in their workplaces.. The launch saw An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar make a key speech celebrating the initiative which was attended by the 14 founding companies and many industry leaders. Richard Clinton, Sylvia Gaudino, Alan Morris and Mark Dwan attended on behalf of Dawn Meats and had the pleasure of meeting the Taoiseach himself. Alan has recently completed his final exams as an apprentice electrician and will be fully qualified in the coming months and Mark has also successfully completed our Supervisory Management Program having started with Dawn as a general operative in 2016.

The Open Doors Initiative allows for shared learnings between the member companies and taps into potential new employees at a time when Ireland is reaching full-employment. Dawn Meats are committed to working together with these other leading companies in Ireland to leverage what we are already doing individually by show casing training opportunities and development programs which further support career progression for diverse individuals and teams. Through a central hub, we as employers can share our best practices and collectively learn how to remove barriers to participation in the current and future employment market.
