Back to Latest News

We are pleased to announce that our Group Management Accountant and Project Lead, Stacey Whelan has reached the finals of the prestigious Women in Meat Industry Awards.

Stacey has been shortlisted in the Manufacturing/Processing category of the annual awards that recognise outstanding female talent and showcase the contributions that women make to the meat sector.

Stacey has over 10 years’ experience working with the Dawn Meats Group. Starting off as a site accounts assistant, she has developed her role and is now a fully qualified chartered accountant, focused on supporting the company’s strategic business initiatives. This includes capital investment reviews around market diversification and continuous improvement initiatives, plus people development. Described as enthusiastic and outcome driven, she is always open to change and actively endorses positive change within the meat industry.

The Women In Meat Industry Awards are designed to recognise the vitally important contributions that women make to the meat sector. This unique awards initiative is driven by reader nominations and votes, with an expert judging panel gathering to select the overall Meat Businesswoman of the Year recipient (presented to one of the other category winners).

The results will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Royal Garden Hotel in London on 13th November.

Please vote for Stacey in the Manufacturing/Processing category here.
